Conference of Dr. María Blasco “The Science challenge to Aging”

On November 18, Dr. María Blasco, director of the CNIO (National Center for Oncological Research), will give a lecture entitled “The Science callenge to Aging” at the Evolution Forum of Burgos at 8:00 p.m.

María A. Blasco is an internationally renowned scientist whose pioneering work has established a key role for telomeres and telomerase in cancer and aging processes.

At this conference, Dr. Blasco will present recent findings showing the efficacy of telomerase-based gene therapy, which has already shown beneficial effects in mice with age-related pathologies.
